Are you a CORPORAT, running the race to enjoy your cheese just on Sundays? Well, meet Shubham Khurana, who creates comic strip using outdated practices which are still followed in the corporate world to its idiosyncrasies and peculiarities. The time consuming and highly competitive work atmosphere gets the better of every employee.
“Each one of them, working long hours to complete a project or meeting the deadline and ending up having no space for personal time.”
The increasing competition is equally proportionate to the stress given to the employee. And let’s not forget, who gets the bigger piece of the cheese from the hard work done by the workforce.
Our UNCOMMON artist, Shubham Khurana’s sketches can make anyone go “Like that is so much like my life”. This Rat turned artist is a pass out of IIT Roorkee, XLRI Jamshedpur and who would deny a place for such creative minds in companies? But to fulfil his passion and dreams, Shubham left his cushy job. He is motivated by ‘Persepolis’ by Marjane Satrapi, this comic made him realised how powerful a sketch can became with writings.
Many of the sketches are inspired from his routine.
This Bangalore based artist came up with the comic “Corporats” when he realised that there are many other people travelling for hours to reach the workplace, living a monotonous life which made him feel “insignificant as an individual, just like rat”.
