Now a day’s ad’s are really an eye-opener and deals with various issues of our society. One of them is “Sab Rab de Bande” sang by Sonu Nigam where they have shown that discrimination faced by Transgender.
It is true that we still view transgender people as being against the natural order and place the blame on their minds, rather than where the real problem is: their incorrect bodies. Being transgender does not mean having a mental disorder; it is not something that can be cured. In fact, many transgender people experience gender dysphoria, which is a disconnect between one’s assigned sex at birth, by which gender the person identifies. Due to the teasing and/or discrimination, these people are disturbed and not able to function properly in the society. Any employers don’t give work and they are compelled to accept the profession of sex worker or as beggar. According to Strapko, the suicide rate among Transgendered, Transsexual individuals is nine times the normal population.
This is also an issue of our upbringing as since our childhood we have been told to be aware of them as they are alike harmful animals. Now when things are really changing as well as our thought process, Can’t now we accept them as part of our society instead of humiliating them.
