We know Just showcasing A Rainbow Logo isn’t Enough. So, we did this!

Why every talk has to be confined to the month of June when it comes to the LGBTQ+? Because it’s Pride Month? Well, this reason is not viable. At TUB, we always intend to go beyond.

We know that just showcasing a rainbow logo on our different social media handles is not enough. The support for ‘Rainbow’, should come from within rather than doing stunts. Today, putting up a story & posting about the cause has become a mere marketing gig. And we wanted to break that!

What were Our Intentions?

TheUncommonBox, as our name suggests, we have a strong drive and passion towards bringing the unusual to notice of a larger audience. Keeping the zest of our long-term vision & mission, we wished to do something meaningful, more than an engaging activity.

Our intention was to take the concept of Pride Month to another stage. So that it could be perceived in a different way too. We tried our best to contribute to the amazing community that needs our true support. BECAUSE CHOICE IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

How it started?

The decisions were made after discussion among the team. Things were on our minds. And then our search began to find a brand that is a die-hard supporter. As it is said, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink! So, we were in search of some entity with the same intentions as ours – this was very important to us. After going up and down the hay we found one!

Meet Our Sponsor – TRIBFASHION

TribFashion is India’s first finest LBGT Store with exquisite quality wear for men and women. The brand sells a range of colorful, vibrant t-shirts, hoodies, shirts for every occasion.

Their stores are located in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and they also function digitally. They of course have a wide variety of color-scheme for the merchandise with a huge collection of accessories. Check them out here.
Their story is quite worth a read

The Activity

And as simple as we wanted to keep the activity, it had to be art-driven! It was just to showcase your support for the community through your art – photography, painting, writing. We conducted the activity on our Instagram Page & Facebook Group.

The perks were as follows: The selected ones would be featured on our website and on Instagram as well. Along with the prizes from our sponsor, we would give away certificates to top entries too!

The activity was open globally. We ran the activity for a month, from 04.06.21 00:00hrs to 10.07.21 23:59hrs. The participants were requested to use our hashtag for the contest, #tubpride21 along with #theuncommonbox. To follow @tribfashion and @theuncommonbox was also a mandate. We have selected only from those entries which used our hashtags for the contest. Every time, we emphasize following the contest guidelines so that we may do justice to everyone’s hard work.

And we were showered with the beautiful entries! Here are a few glimpses:

And The Winner’s Are:

Well, announcing winners always seem to be the toughest job to do for our team! So, we took our sweet time. But the wait is now over and the winners are (with the drum roll in the background….)

Our Hearts are filled:

This was our 3rd year conducting something like this for the community that requires our support. We are so glad to see the same enthusiasm for each and every participant. Though the whole thing is being called an ‘Activity’ or ‘Contest’, the motive behind it was beyond the boundaries of mere engagement. It was meant as an opportunity to spread love around. We shall be doing this for many time & around!

Special Thanks to Manjari and Vaibhav from our team who took this up and made it possible. Our heartfelt gratitude to TribFashion, looking forward to having a big one soon yet again as collaborators. And also to the ones who participated & helped us in spreading the word.
