Valentine’s Day occupies a significant celebration globally and is one of the most awaited days of the year.
When love is in the air, all we perceive are the emotions that reverberate the feelings of love and affection.
For the uninitiated, the day is named for an unknown saint, while it is thought that it may have originated with many people. Its exact origins are still a mystery.
The day is commemorated, according to mythology, to honor the death anniversary of Saint Valentine, who died in the middle of February in the year 270 AD.
Saint Valentine was a priest who defied emperors’ orders and married couples in secret to keep husbands from going to war. Emperor Claudius II Gothicus is said to have executed him.
The Uncommon Box collaborated with four talented artists and brought a fantastic V-Day Challenge + Giveaway to celebrate love.
The contest was held with the hashtag #valentineartchallenge, and our theme was: Celebrate Love with Creativity.
It received tremendous response, and we were amused to sort out some of the finest art pieces to finally decide the Top 3 and 7 Special Mentions.
Activity duration was between 12th Feb – 22nd Feb 2022.

For the contest, we encouraged art on any medium and an open theme where artists can draw silhouettes for anything, with the symbolism of two: 2 books, 2 birds, a couple, 2 animals, 2 cups, and more. We wanted to bring out the core of creativity and give the artists a chance to explore their craft and love in subjects of their interest.
Deciding upon the list of winners wasn’t easy but adhering to our rules, we selected some of the best entries. We declared the result on () and shared the selected posts in our stories.
