A person who loves nature and it’s creation, would know what it means to get up early in the morning and rush to the Sunrise point, to capture the mighty ball of fire in it’s calm form and again run back to the the Sunset point, to view the same ball of fire in it’s pleasant form. The chase however, is worth all the miles.
With respect to such sun trail, TheUncommomBox, along with Mr. Star Udyawar, a business man and hobbyist photographer, organized an online photography contest named, “Chasing the Sun”.
The guidelines of this competition were very basic which required the participants to tag TheUncommomBox and Star Udaywar’s profile through respected hashtag #sunchasewithtub. The photos should have been uploaded only during the competition timeline, any old uploads or late uploads were not considered. In case an old photo had been re-uploaded during the given dates, it had been considered valid. The timeline of the competition was from 9th February 2020 to 18th February 2020.
The response was extremely positive and overwhelming. We received more than 230 posts that captured the Sun in stunning ways.
We asked, Star Udyawar, the man behind the theme, to share a little, about himself, his work and the idea behind this contest.
“There is no specific genre that I stick to. I capture anything and everything that pleases my eyes. I believe if you constrict a creative art into certain specific boundaries, it will get boring after a time”.
However, I love capturing landscapes along with my liking for capturing cities in way that reflects a different perspective from every corner.
About the theme “Chasing the Sun”, I personally wanted to capture as many of shades of suns as possible, in my frames this year. And as we all know, photography is all about light, and Sun is the biggest source of light. So I thought, Why not chase the bull?
We are happy to have such amazing photographer, as our guest and judge of the contest. The rules of this competition were set forth by both TheUncommonBox and Star Udaywar. Team TUB is extremely grateful to have such a talented artist on our platform. It was a real ‘Sunny Ride’.
So before starting the chase, we, the teams of TheUncommomBox, would like to thank all the participants who helped us in gathering the amazing shades of sun in tiny frames. It would not have been possible without you guys.
