This list has got no end it rather keeps on going which means our Indian media certainly follows and reports only those information which is related to their favourite “political” party or increases their TRP. People legit have lost all their hopes and faith in journalists which automatically comes down to this that people are losing trust in media and the whole system.
Is media no more trust worthy?
In one the interviews Sudhar chaudhary, Editor of Zee news channel mentioned their channel as a nationalist channel ie.they just believe in nationalism point of view, while one of the former employee Vishwa deepak of the same news channel accused zee being biased towards reporting. I believe nobody is neutral now when I have been taught that media and the journalists aren’t supposed to be blind towards anything or anyone while they should just talk facts and nothing but the truth. When we have real issues to talk out like climate change, anti-terroism, employment , economy of the county. Our media is busy covering where our PM is going, how much his whole trip costing and so on. Covering all this isn’t a problem ofcourse we should be aware of what is happening for the betterment of the county but the issue is when media keeps it’s eye intact on one topic and neglects some serious ones which needs attention.
Ideally, the media should be free and unbiased but is it really the scenario? In such situations it is rational not to blindly trust what they ventilate to you. India once was proud of its free and diverse press, but surprisingly according to the facts it’s totally opposite now. Is Indian media still that free media where you can write more truth or only a platform which brings in more TRP?
ABP news anchor Abhisan Sharma was taken off air for over a fortnight after her denied instructions from the management that he must not criticize PM modi’s policies. So let me come to a conclusion is it like when the government or any other powerful can’t directly control the journalist they indirectly do it by pressurizing the media group owners. I don’t understand the situation, who is to be blamed here?

Media and journalism being the 4th pillar of the democracy needs to be as clear as running water. Many of them supporting different political parties because they are power hungry. Aren’t journalists eye of the county then why aren’t they more focused on nation buildings. Politicians are making journalists dance on their fingers. My question still remains a question “Is Indian media reliable enough?, are they trust worthy ?” Because I aspire to become a journalist. A fearless journalist, where I am free to speak my mind and my words where nothing bounds me, not the fear of getting no TRP for the channel or where it becomes it too hard to survive when you speak the trust and the bold truth. It’s high time now that we should wake up and see the world around us as to what people need – they need the truth, facts and not just a piece of information which is spiced with some gossip , makes a fuss about it and called as a news.
