Hard work pays off – hard work beats talent any day, but if you’re talented and work hard, it’s hard to beat -Robert Griffin III
The above quote seems to be true for this multi talented personality – Srishti Shukla, a 24 year old passion driven woman, who plays various roles – Fighter, Social Worker, Singer, Baker, Aunt to 4 absolutely gorgeous kids and as she’s popularly known as – The Green Eyed Writer. To quote her “I’m a million different things bound together in a single soul. I’m the Universe!”
Writing brings peace and motivation to her, but at the same time she loves to inspire and motivate whoever seeks it. She wanted to be a writer around 5 years back, be an inspiration for people to fight for their dreams and have it all, so she fought all sorts of stigmas in her life to become one.
Currently, she is working on her first novel “The Dream Catcher”. It’s a story about a young woman who loses her family in a car crash which only she survives. Her husband and children die and she finds out that she was expecting a third child. Just when she thought her entire world fell apart, she finds one last ray of hope. This story revolves around how she gets over the idea of never having the dead ones back, how the new child becomes her savior and how she starts living life with the help of her friends and family and starts working again. How total strangers give her strength and courage to move forward and how old ties reconnect.
This book will be finished soon and published in a few months before the end of 2016.
Her routine consists of travelling, reading, writing, working with NGO teams or being with her nieces and nephews. Apart from this, she is working with Make a Difference and two other NGOs which are HOPE and WOW – Words of Worth. She also plans on opening her own NGO someday.
Writing and social work tops her list of priorities and she believes that monetary gain is not her goal. Her ultimate goal is to bring people to the hitting realization that they can be all they want to be.
Settling in New York and travelling the world, writing a little every day and being happy is what she’s after.
