“After the immensely successful Writers’ Contest of the Monochrome Diaries, The Uncommon Box came up with another challenge, this time for the photographers. The Monochrome Diaries now threw a challenge to all photographers to capture a ‘diary’ moment in monochrome. The visual had to be strong in its story element and evoke an appropriate response from the viewers.”
The contest period was set for only 6 days and The Uncommon Box received an impressive 250 + entries across our Instagram handle and Facebook group.
It was heartening to see the responses from our participants because many of them shared a number of their images. There were some veteran photographers who also participated for the first time as well as some amateurs who made their debut.
Evaluating the entries was no easy task and hence we, at Team TUB took an allowance of an extra day to wrap up the final process of the contest.
We are very happy to see the incredible quality content of the pictures and the stories they narrate.
We would like to sincerely thank every participant for being so enthusiastic!
“Keeping in mind the fantastic response, and wanting to do things in an ‘uncommon’ manner, we have decided to publish the results in two parts. One set of 15 winners will be announced today, while the second set of 15 winners will be announced soon.”
The sole reason for this division in the announcement of the names of the winners is that we wish to give all 30 winners their spot in the limelight.
So here are the Best 15 winners from Part 1.
