As said by Mary Lou Cook “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” We, The Uncommon Box (TUB) believe that everyone has the potential to be creative; some of them just access it more than others.
One of them is Satavisha Chakrabarty, her pen and ink artworks are really a feast for the eyes. Satavisha is a self-taught artist with no formal education on sketching/doodling, a Batman believer, Foodie, and Illustrator – most of her illustrations are using pens and as per her, pen tempts her to draw.
From childhood, she draws random things – cartoons, patterns, object arts, and doodles, making greeting cards of her own to gift them to her loved ones. It was a hobby that turned into a passion and now gradually moving towards full-time work.
A lot of her zen-tangles are being used by various organizations as coloring books for adults with chronic illness. She has just started taking a course on a digital illustration from ZICA (Zee Institute of Creative Arts) to meet her professional expertise. She has a Cute Store where she sells T-shirts, Hoodies, Laptop Skins, Coasters, Notebooks & Posters and a FB page to display her illustrations.
