The Uncommon Box is a platform for all artists- one need not be a professional to be on it. The community is based on the belief that everyone is learning and polishing their skills.
Very often, people give up on their passion because they feel they do not have the expertise. The Uncommon Box endeavours to encourage and inspire them to give a fair chance to their talent to develop.
“It was a part of these thoughts that The Uncommon Box organized its second photo meet in the country, this time in Bengaluru.”
Coinciding perfectly with World Photography Day, this special Photo Meet in Bengaluru took place on 19th August at 4 pm at Pottery Town, led by Uncommon Instagrammer Rahul Singi @photowale.bapu, along with his two friends Nandish Rao @nandish_rao and Karthik @human.spirits
Pottery Town, as the name indicates, had been selected by Rahul, keeping in mind that Ganesh Chaturthi was just around the corner, and the artisans were busy putting the finishing touches to the clay idols of Lord Ganesha. There were incredible frames waiting to be captured for posterity.
“August in India is rather unpredictable in terms of weather. Bengaluru had been getting its occasional showers later in the evenings but, then the rain clouds that showered themselves on Kolkata for its photo meet, followed us to Bengaluru, only to find that it could not do much for to dampen the high spirits of the photo walkers there.”
Our heartiest thanks go out to Rahul, Nandish and Karthik for doing such a fantastic job of the photo meet. A special word of gratitude to the 20+ participants who turned up braving rain and traffic. You truly made yourselves Uncommon! We request all participants to freely share their experience with us on this photo meet as well.
