When your best friend says, “How will you face the world if you get upset so easily?”
When your friends live with a perception that you would at times get upset for no reason at all.
How can anyone know what really goes through that mind of yours when you wouldn’t share your deepest fears and troubles?
One can only know and understand once they’ve experienced the same themselves.
When someone very dear to you, never met their brother for one last time.
While he suffered in a hospital very close to home, injured from battle wounds, the family searched everywhere else, only to find him a few hours after his demise.
When someone loses their home, a place they’d spent 50 years in, innumerable memories to even put together in words, all gone in the blink of an eye.
When someone has no one to support them, no one to look out for them, and they have no will to live any longer.
When you know your loved ones have cried themselves to bed on occasion.
When you feel you’re stuck in a black hole, and there’s no hope of getting out.
When you yourself live with a constant pang of fear and unease, day in-day out.
How, how can one feel happy?
There is only so much strength one can pull together,
To portray what the world wants to see.
At times, you just need to bring that mask down and breathe in solace.
