The 10 Best Mesmerizing Monochrome Images From The Madiwala Photo Walk In Bengaluru Organized By TUB And NKP

It is the endeavour of The Uncommon Box to promote Art in all its forms amongst people who follow their passion in spite of the challenges of everyday life.

It is this motivation that was the inspiration behind the special thematic photo walk organized on 8th October in Bengaluru, in collaboration with Namma Karnataka Photographers.

The location selected was one of the busiest markets of Bengaluru, the Madiwala market. The market was a natural choice as it offers countless photo opportunities to every photographer’s keen eye.

Interestingly, the theme of the photo contest was Monochromes. The challenge was to capture the various frames of the colourful market in only two colours- black and white.

The Bengaluru skies had been overcast and pouring rain on the days leading up to the walk. Team TUB kept its fingers crossed and hoped for perfect weather and we were indeed blessed with such an opportunity.

“There was an enthusiastic turnout of over 60 people and we were heartened by the warm feedback from the participants.”

Our team was led on the ground by Admin Rahul Singi, and his two close friends Karthik Mulakaluri and Nandish Rao, along with the representatives from the Namma Karnataka Photographers community.

A successful photo walk is complete only after the uploads begin on social media and we are happy to announce that there were more than 172 uploads on the hashtag  #tubwithnkp

“On the basis of the theme, 10 best images have been selected jointly by the NKP and TUB team for a fair appraisal.”

But first of all, we would like to thank all the participants who turned up at the walk. It is their enthusiasm that drove us to do our best as well.

A special word of gratitude to the NKP team who have been fantastic collaborators right through. They made the entire process effortless and a pleasurable experience.

‘Thank you’ to admin Rahul Singi and his friends who helped coordinate the entire endeavour with zeal and perseverance.

And finally, CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners! Their uploads were of high merit in terms of composition, adherence to theme, and of course technical brilliance.
