We are not born with an aim or purpose to strive towards something in particular. Most of the times we don’t know what our purpose is and why are we here. In order to shape your own identity, a purpose is important.
Once you slay your inner dragons and swing your sword of action into what you really want, there is some clarity towards your goal in life and it inspires you in gaining more insights in things you love the most.
Presenting our Uncommon writer Diksha, who rediscovered herself through her writings! Encountering her own struggles in her journey of life, Diksha “Meera” Dhabhai who is now fondly called Meera, followed her heart of putting pen to paper and implementing happiness and meaningfulness in life through her words.
Born and bought up in Jodhpur, Diksha is now preparing for her MBBS examinations and pursuing an internship from Jodhpur.
“We’re all on our respective journeys of life, and we have our own struggles. They may be small or large in a relative way, but certainly, they do have an existence in our lives”. Diksha confesses that “in the times of those struggles is when I rediscovered myself and found the Meera in me”.
Here are 9 beautiful tales penned by the lady who calls herself Meera, much similar in her affection for Lord Krishna after the legendary Rajasthani queen.
#1 What could hurt a true love more? Simply, the fact that her beloved would have to suffer the same pangs of love in her company. Such is love- it would spare the beloved of all pain, at the cost of bearing the pain of separation from Him.
#2 Ever felt that the stranger across the room is someone you seem to know from a long time? But he hesitates as much as you do. And when summoning up his courage he does ask you your name, you realize by looking into his eyes, that love, in essence, remains the same through the ages.
#3 The eternal wait for the beloved, in such silence and stillness of the heart and world, that the slightest sound jars.
#4 The one in love claims, that she is but a stain on the open aanchal of Love, such is her intense love for her beloved.
#5 The perplexity of the lover is well depicted in this musing. Love is such a mighty wave that it leaves you feeling helpless and wondering why you cannot control your thoughts and emotions.
#6 The beloved cries when she sees the stone idol of the God, and questions him whether He loves her too and if not, He has to explain to her how to cope with the void.
#7 The beloved cries out in intense passion that it is only Love that she knows- nothing else of the world makes sense to her. All that her heart yearns is His presence.
#8 Very simply put- to be in love and to be love is not the same. In her state of being, the beloved is Love herself.
#9 The theme of the eternal wait resurrects again in this musing. Long nights of endless waiting, that do not seem to end- is the beloved’s complaint to her Love.
Isn’t there a Meera in each one of us?
That passion, yearning, and longing for the beloved is universal is it not? That is why, these poems cut across the barriers of language and cultures, to appeal to us.
