I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently. And then, it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt, and perhaps it says:
“Go to sleep, darlings, Till the summer comes again.”
After making us wait for so long, winter has finally arrived. Love it or not, winter provides us with many perks like letting us make a snow man, isn’t it?
Read on to know 8 things you must do in this winter break.
1. CLOTHES !
When the bold branches bid farewell to the rainbow leaves, welcome wool sweaters.
Pull them out and then, pull off elegantly.
2) READ !
Winter brings along with it the indescribable joy of snuggling into our warm blanket, with a good book and coffee. So go choose at least two books to read in the cozy heaven this winter.
3) SLEEEEEP !
Because winter gives you a reason to go into hibernation. Isn’t it true that we love to sleep till warm sunrays tickle our face on a winter morning? Ah! So much happiness in one sentence 😛
4) TRAVEL !
Yes. Go on a long drive on a highway and drink kulhar wali chai in a dhaba! The chill around you and the hot sips of the tea will make sure you taste the seventh heaven.
5) DONATE !
There is no denying the fact that winter can be harshly cold. But a simple gesture of donation can be a boon for the less fortunate and can provide you with the warmth of contentment like never before. There are many NGOs that can help you donate things like sweaters, blankets etc. And if not that, simply providing warmth to your street dog will satisfy you immensely.
6) COOK !
Makki Ki Roti, Sarso Ka Saag and Gajar Ka Halwa! Anyone’s heart pops out with delight when they get to feast on such delicacies. But this winter, instead of just relishing on them, do all the cooking, bring out the masterchef in you and pamper your loved ones!
7) MAKE A SNOW MAN !
If you are lucky enough to be living somewhere where it snows, then what are you waiting for? Bring out the child in you! Snowfall gives you an excuse to hit your friends with snow balls and taste snowflakes! Just the thought of it makes me throw away my blanket and book tickets for Kashmir
8) LONG WALK !
On a peaceful winter evening, go on a long walk down the street and ponder on things that matter. Think, reason and basically, give yourself some more time. And when you will return home, you will find that the walk not only proved to be a therapy, but it was worth going out in the winter just for the sake of coming back to your cozy home !
