“The picture that you took with your camera is the imagination you want to create with reality” ~ Scott Lorenzo
Being a photographer is an awesome experience. Capturing, sharing and collecting beautiful moments to make every bit of life a special pursuit you will never be bored with!
It not only changes the way you look at things in life but you inevitably start noticing how beautiful things are around you. How entirely awesome you feel capturing ordinary moments and making them look extraordinary in real life!
Our Uncommon photographer Abhishek R.Maharao is unlike everyone else. He discovered his passion for photography when he watched the movie ‘Wake up Sid’. Something in him changed and he became more interested in clicking pictures and talking through his lenses.
TUB presents some of his best pictures in form of photo tales capturing the essence of Mumbai City. Abhishek’s photography encapsulates little moments beautifully reflecting the feeling from everyday things and made all the regular moments of life so special and cherished.
Mumbai – the ‘city of dreams’ has countless places to explore and the historical majestic structure ‘Gateway of India’ overseeing the romantic Arabian sea is surely one of them.
It’s a popular tourist attraction to click pictures with this monument as the backdrop.
Another popular place in Mumbai is the Bandra – Worli Sea link.
Capturing some memorable shots at Bandra – Worli sea link with its steel cables and soaring arches. This place definitely gives one of the best views of the bridge
Watching the sunset at Worli Sea Face along with the love of your life – whether it is a person or the camera – is always a very pleasing and relaxing thing especially among the hustle bustle fast life of Mumbai.
Beyond the extravagant view of the endless Arabian sea, the setting sun paints an amazing hue across the coast line.
Telling stories of the people on the street through photography gives a different high altogether.
Abhishek loves to capture the raw emotions of people on the streets as street gives more real, more candid pics, and most of all, street never lies!
Sometimes clicking strangers can be challenging, but he says never to miss an opportunity and click to your heart’s desire. Street photography can be truly rewarding once you get through the initial hurdles. “You need to keep clicking and practising more to make yourself more comfortable and fearless”, says Abhishek.
Yet another candid picture clicked by Abhishek at Walkeshwar Banganga during his photo walk in Mumbai.
Popular place with picturesque surroundings offering photo opportunities for the photo enthusiast, it is also one of the prime residential places in town.
Mumbai is synonymous with the Ganpati festival. Abhishek shares two amazing photographs from this year’s celebration.
Surrender: Captured this perfect moment during GanpatiAgaman Ceremony near Lalbaug flyover on 12th August 2017.
Actually, I wanted to capture Ganesh idol keeping police image in defocus mode, but the vice-a-versa looks better, as it resembles the people (Mumbai police) who are the protectors of Mumbai, who had surrendered himself to Lord Ganesh in order to gain power to tackle against the day-to-day mishap happening in the Dream city “Amachi Mumbai”- Abhishek writes.
Techie Bappa: Captured this moment of Ganesh Gully Ganesha Idol at Lalbaug on 02nd September 2017.
This ganpati is called “MumbaiCha Raja”, therefore there is alway chaos in his darbaar, so I couldn’t take wobble-free pic. With a sad-heart I was returning back to my Uncle’s home along with my cousin brother SagarDhuri, and sudden I found a way out straight to the recording studio, Wohkehetehaina “Raja kedarbaar se koi Khali hath nahijata” and captures this on my brother’s recommendation, therefore half the credit goes to him. It signifies that, to whatever extent we grow in terms of technology, Bappa is always INFINITY.
This undeniable fascination of capturing the overwhelming beautiful city makes an enchanting impression and is a delight for anybody interested in photography.
