Women are the architects who shape our society. A woman’s journey to her freedom is not easy and smooth in this world where her struggle is not only against society but also with her own feelings. Writer Aman gupta pens these lines from the point of view of a woman, who tries to throw light upon the efforts and real struggle that a woman goes through each and every day.
Scream For freedom
I choose to be me,
against all the odds.
I’m not here
to fit in a box.
I want to fly high
to touch
the fluffy clouds,
to encounter
a new horizon,
to live
away from the chaos,
to touch
all those memories
which were once mine.
And suddenly
the darkness knocked
on my door,
to cage me up.
And
I screamed again.
Thought behind his write-up
Even though all the efforts of a woman to achieve go in vain because of such a stereotypical society, a woman never stops trying to break all boundaries against all odds. This write up portrays in such simple words the war fought by every women in her day to day life.
